Thanks to all of our ETLAW members for making our 2014 Annual YWCA Toiletry Drive a huge success! We donated over 400 welcome bags and many other assorted toiletry and self-care items to the YWCA. We also made a financial contribution of $135.00 to the YWCA with excess financial contributions from our members.
We owe a special thanks to Rebecca Satterfield at Eldridge & Blakney, P.C.! Rebecca attended the 2013 December Luncheon with the firm and since then, she has been on a mission to find ways to make our project more comforting for the women of the YWCA. She donated beautiful handmade candy poppers. Additionally, Rebecca inspired a friend from her church who donated 30 hand-knit hats.
As you all heard from Marigail and Gladys at the December Luncheon, the welcome bags and other items are very meaningful for the YWCA residents. I am looking forward to serving as Community Outreach Chair for 2015 and organizing this event again in December.
