ETLAW awarded Mary Miller the Spirit of Justice Award during its annual Tennessee Supreme Court Luncheon in Knoxville. The honor is for Miller’s continued support and advancement of women in the bar, involvement in numerous organizations, and dedication to her pro bono clients, her practice and her family. She graduated Emory Law School in 1988 with distinction. She has been actively involved in TLAW and ETLAW, served as an adjunct professor at UT Law, taught many continuing education courses, and coached youth basketball for over 20 years. She maintains a successful law practice while serving as a devoted wife and involved mother of two. She is a behind-the-scenes supporter and mentor for many female attorneys. Mary exemplifies the purposes of ETLAW and the qualities that will help us answer Justice Lee’s call to action to foster an environment that will lead to greater gender equality in the legal profession.
